Another rye I bought as a mixer that surprised me. This made a really good Manhattan and is great for the price. A little spice from the rye but nice and smooth.

Bought this as a cocktail mixer and decided to try it straight, decided to not mix with it after that lol. Smooth with a slight sweetness this was surprisingly good for the price, makes an awesome Manhattan.

Wow! This is unlike anything I've had to date, the rum cask really comes through almost to the point you would think you were drinking rum. Sometimes I get caramel on the nose that translates to the palate, other times gingerbread and mint, with a little heat and spice from the rye...this is a gateway whiskey for those who claim they don't like the stuff...

The best high proof bourbon I have in my collection, I randomly saw this at my local store mixed in with the regular stuff...owner was sneaky and didn't put it on his rare shelf, but I saw it and jumped! The Jr is misleading as this is still rocket fuel, but tasting blind with other barrels like Elijah, bulleit frontier and rare breed this is the clear winner

Not sure what release I had, but was able to taste this at the Owl's club in Tucson for only like 15$. It was amazing, super hot but once I savored it for a while and took really tiny sips I started picking up a ton of complexity, I would spend a lot on this, probably over $150 if I ever came across a bottle

Bought this on a whim at Total cause it had a 96 point rating from some nobody...and I totally agreed with him! Woodsy and smoky and sweet the more I drank it the more I wanted, at this price point u can't go wrong.

Not sure why so many people seem to hate this, I really enjoyed the last bottle I had as did a friend, it was somewhat sweet and smooth but it stood out in multiple blind taste tests for me, always finishing in the top two

Was so excited to try this after a guy who worked at Sazerac told me I had to try it and also when I bought it at the store the guy there said I was going to love it...so I get it home and wah wah wah it's lousy, nothing whatsoever stands out, it could literally be any plain old booze, dry and bland, a friend tried it too and without me giving my opinion said the same thing, at least it has a cool metal Caribou on top 😊

Tastes a little off, I would only have this at the holidays as all I really get out of it is spice and a ton of cinnamon, you get a decent sweetness and some maple, but it's too much to have more than 2oz of

Biggest buying mistake I ever made, the cool label and the fact that Total Wine told me it was rare made me buy it for $120, but this is the most mediocre bourbon I've had to date, it's not bad but nothing special at all and def not worth the ridiculous price, this has actually made me wary of trying anything in the pricey category anymore
