Tres Generaciones Añejo Tequila
Tequila Añejo — Tequila Valley, Jalisco, Mexico
Reviewed April 10, 2023Rich smell, less sweet, but more floral. This anejo is missing forward sweetness, but its smooth, minerally some oak, and a slight peppery taste. Definitely some floral notes as well. Very different and in a nice way. Just prefer more sweetness, but goes down real easy. -
Ron Zacapa 23 Sistema Solera Rum
Aged Rum — Guatemala
Reviewed March 31, 2023 (edited August 17, 2023)On the nose is sweetness. Vanilla, cinnamon and burnt sugar. Hmm. Sweet taste and definitely an oaky finish. Super smooth finish. Fantastic sipper. Easy to drink. -
Blackened Whiskey
Other Whiskey — Multiple Countries
Reviewed March 29, 2023 (edited August 17, 2023)Smells great. Sweet, light, slight oak. Light taste, smooth with a slight after burn. Little spicy. Hmm interesting taste. There is something that numbs the flavors a little and maybe its the brandy, not a bad thing. Interesting, better than a ton of bottles out there but just not crazy for it. -
Caramel and sweet smell. No bite in the smell, definitely smelling that maple flavor. Man that maple takes out any bite. Honestly I love it. I prefer a sweeter taste and the maple ensures it. It isnt as dessert-esque as advertised. Still tastes like a bourbon to me. Just not hitting all notes of a typical bourbon. Widow Jane is just a good brand.
