I'm loving the single pot stills and this particular iteration was done really well. Oloroso sherry casks always do their part in creating a rich whiskey and it really comes through with this one. Relative to most "$$" Irish Whiskey's, 4 stars may be shorting this one

I'm pretty sure I could live off of this. It's so rich and chocolatey I want to wrap my hands around the tumbler as if it were a mug of hot chocolate in the dead of winter. Seriously though, I sip this on the rocks and couldn't be more content. "Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal" on the nose seriously undermines the complexity of this single malt

Jameson Black Barrel is just one step above the base Jameson when it comes to price but when sipping it on the rocks I would think it's a $70 bottle of Irish Whiskey. Fantastic.

Cinnamon, raisins sweet nose. Tastes chocolate, vanilla

I mean, it gets the job done and it's a bourbon. That's all I can really ask for

Not much complexity, can be harsh but I'm a fan. Triple distillation helps with the silkiness

Long finish. Light on the palate. Golden color. Honey on the nose. Burns on the back of the tongue
