Very spicy rye upfront. Definitely needs a few drops of water to open up. Caramel undertones with a prickly mouth feel

For what it is, surprisingly not as harsh as expected. 125 proof hits the nose with a quick ethanol smack quickly changing to a very sweet smell, somewhere between candy and bread. The taste is heavily dominated by corn with a little bit of grain. Smooth mouthfeel and finish though a quick and spicy finish at the end

First taste was nothing but caramel. Second taste got some of the cherries in it. Definitely drinks harsher than expected. Try again in a few months.

On first taste this burns with a feeling much higher than its proof. The second taste gave me notes of cherry, almost thick and sweet on the tongue like maraschino liqueur. Later sips brought more of the spices in play. Good but not top tier for the $70 price tag. Barrel selection for Southern Spirits.

Very fruity on the nose, with a strong taste of banana. Very easy drink, low spice, limited taste of oak. Almost tastes like baked Alaska...

Strong nutty flavor reminiscent of roasted peanuts. Very sweet upfront mellows our with a long finish. The nuttiness is balanced with a bit of salty/being flavor.

Very smooth. Soft nose. Oak noticeable. A fairly long finish though without the burn. Tough to put my finger on why, but really enjoy it!

The vanilla really comes out in this one. The expert review of crispy corners of brownies is exactly right. A good sipping bourbon. Smooth and very short finish. Astringent at the end like a mildly oversteeped tea.

Immediate spice on the tip of your tongue. Long caramel finish. Minor note of banana. Ok but need to cut with water on second pour
