Talisker Port Ruighe
Peated Single Malt — Islands, ScotlandTastedBig smoke/peat flavor upfront gives way to a super sweet finish. Hit of spice upfront as well. Almost too sweet though as it shortens the finish dramatically. Decent pour.Edinburgh
The Balvenie Caribbean Cask 14 Year
Single Malt — Speyside, ScotlandTastedNose is very minimal. Very sweet. Spicy finish that warms the mouth. Far off the traditional single malt scotch.Edinburgh
Lagavulin 16 Year
Peated Single Malt — Islay, ScotlandTastedToo Peaty for me. Tried to understand the max range of the peatiness of scotch whiskeys. Campfire taste. Nose can be achieved from about 3 feet away. Mellows slightly with a hit of water. Slightly bitter and long finish.Glenfinnan House
The Tweeddale: The Evolution
Blended Malt — Speyside (single malts) & Lowlands (single grain), ScotlandTastedInteresting malt blend. More tannins and caramel flavor. Long finish. Buzzed the tongue. Good but a bit acidic. Could be influenced by the chocolate we ate.
The Tweedale: The Grain of Truth
Single Grain — Highlands, ScotlandTastedNot much on the nose. Good sweet whiskey. Hit of sherry at the end. Very short finish.

The Balvenie DoubleWood 17 Year
Single Malt — Speyside, ScotlandTastedClosest scotch I have tasted to bourbon. The additional oak flavor is very present here, lending to a sweeter overall finish. Low peat but a hint of smoke. Worth finding again.Torridon Inn
Old Forester 1910 Old Fine Whisky
Bourbon — Kentucky, USATastedComplex flavor profile but an overwhelming profile of banana. Not a fan. Finish is short and uneventful.
Stagg Jr. Barrel Proof Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USATastedWow this is good. Strong hit of alcohol, but almost some citrusy flavors in there. Hard to describe. Long finish13.0 USD per Pour
Wild Turkey Kentucky Spirit Single Barrel Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USATastedVery smooth bourbon. Somewhat sweet nose initially, but faded into a bit of a cleaning product smell. Despite the nose, the taste is good with an initial hit of baking spice that blends into dark stone fruit. Thick, coating mouth feel. Enjoyed better straight than on the rocks.
