Review is it's good...definitely a bit hot and gives that kerosene taste right off the bat. But has a mix of brown sugar(good amount), toffee/caramel (barely), and then a lingering peppery spice flavor. I'm liking it but don’t love it at almost $50. At $45, it's not going to replace any of the good daily sippers at $30 (Russell's, 1792, smoke wagon, weller, Buffalo trace), but it's good.45.0 USD per Bottle

Redwood Empire Lost Monarch Whiskey
Blended American Whiskey — USA
Reviewed August 17, 2022 (edited October 28, 2022)Feel like some people would really like it but I don't care for it (I don't dislike it, just not for me…It's like citrusy/spicy in a good way. I like honey, caramel, vanilla, buttery, brown sugar flavors and this is none of those) - $30 so well worth the price if you think you'll like spicy/peppery/citrusy bourbon. Might make a great mixed drink with the taste.30.0 USD per Bottle -
The Cooper's Choice 2001
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed August 10, 2022 (edited August 17, 2022)For Cooper’s Craft Straight Bourbon: Good value. Not bad, not great. Strong cherry cough syrupy taste which I’m not a huge fan of but got better as I kept sipping it.32.0 USD per Bottle -
Russell's Reserve Single Barrel Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed August 10, 2022 (edited October 16, 2022)2022 release. Easy to sip and can pick up a strong honey and thick caramel taste. Very enjoyable, sweet but still let’s you know it’s a higher proof. Will pick one up again if I see it.60.0 USD per Bottle -
Heaven Hill Bottled In Bond 7 Year
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed July 20, 2022 (edited July 21, 2022)Very strong dry toffee caramel taste - like a less sweet Werther’s Original. Would have originally said a slight vanilla, strong caramel flavor when I first opened it but coming back to the opened bottle, I got a much stronger caramel toffee taste that was great. One of my top 3 bourbons under $50. -
Smoke Wagon Straight Bourbon
Bourbon — Indiana (bottled in Nevada), USA
Reviewed July 10, 2022 (edited October 28, 2022)In a very good way, I’m not sure I've ever tasted that much caramel as the most prominent flavor to it. Then a little oak and Kentucky hug at the end. Very good and I give it the nod over Eagle Rare and Russell’s Reserve as my favorite ~$30 bottle.28.0 USD per Bottle -
Well, it was good. It was a bit sweet and didn't have any burn. Not sure I really picked up anything and hate just saying “smooth” but it’s the definition of a plain, smooth bourbon without much flavor. For $30 retail, it’s great but not sure it’s worth the hype and cult following that makes it a crazy rare find.30.0 USD per Bottle

Jefferson's Ocean Aged at Sea Voyage 19 Special Wheated Mash Bill
Bourbon — USA
Reviewed March 20, 2022 (edited July 20, 2022)Unpopular opinion because of their cost, but for the most part I have really enjoyed the Jefferson’s voyages and this one was great. Very light with a hint of butterscotch, smooth vanilla, and light burn after that warms the chest. If I find another bottle, I’ll buy again for sure.
