Bruichladdich Islay Barley 2011
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed August 3, 2019 (edited January 26, 2020)There is no peat in here, but you can acctaully smell islay. Hard to describe it, but terroir is the thing :D Also lemon zest on the nose and sherry like dryed fruits. More of it in the taste. also peperry and little bit oily. Pleasent moderate finish. Ahh and od course vanilla!! -
I never disagreed more with user tastes than on this case. This whiskey is very light and floral on the nose with obvious peat smoke in the background, but not that medicinal. When you take a sip it plays on your tonge like champagne. I was really suprised by the taste of it. Overall spicy, sparkling and little salty on the tongue. Finish pleasent and moderate
