Penelope does it again with this silky and nicely balanced pour. A new permanent in my collection.

Gotta love it when high rye gets expressed as "smooth" but they did well with that. The rye flavor comes in without the punch and cinnamon and the result is a solid, creamy whiskey that's a respectable proof and a good overall sipper. A good cigar whiskey, too.

Think Noahs Mill but lighter, smoother, and with less punch, but also less complexity. Now one of my top bourbans but Noahs Mill is still a touch higher on my list. This will be a go to when i want something a little lighter and smoother, though. Well done.

Wow, much better than i expected. If you're expecting a typical Scotch its a 3.8. If you love when distillers do a different take on a Scotch its a 4.8. A new staple in my collection.

Great value for the money. Light on the nose, Like smelling silly putty from about six inches. Caramel and vanilla and baking spices dominate the palate. Nothing really stands out but there is nothing wrong with this at all, especially for the price. This will always be a staple in my collection.

Sweet and light. Drinks more like a Scotch than a bourbon, but there are better Scotches and better bourbans in this price rang. Needs a few more years aging to make it onto my "buy again" list.

Good but for the price there's much better out there.

Salty caramel and buttery vanilla with toasted oak, embedded in a light rye cinnamon spiciness that fades into a long, oily creamy hickory-like smokiness. Sweet, but not cherry sweet or fruity. Perfect fit when I want a savory, salty bourbon rich in flavor.

One of my favorite American single malts. Sweet, light, but flavorful. Medium-short finish for most flavors except the grassy vanilla maple pineapple, which stays comfortably longer. A new staple in my collection.

Wow, one of my favorites. Lots of flavor and complexity but a good balance of all. Not too much or too little of anything. When im in the mood for a lightly spicy whiskey with a full flavor but not all woody, this is my pour. For reference, Noah's Mill is a little more oaky, more full and complex, and a touch creamier, but simetimes is too full flavored for me. But it and this are similar and in my top Bourbons list.
