Rich, full, some spice, vanilla, and oak. Well balanced long finish. Pretty smooth for the abv. Very good if you can find as msrp. Give it a slight edge over eagle rare although it’s a different flavor profile, this being more oakey and balanced and ER being sweeter vanilla caramel.

I like it but not a ton of character. Some caramel and vanilla but a bit more of that burnt oak or tobacco flavor than id like.

Its decent but pretty spicy which is not my preferred style for a bourbon, although it makes a damn good old fashioned so I’m bumping it up .25.

Its pretty good, Its not quite as harsh as the 9 year and not so rough around the edges but im not wowed. Its just very solid.

This is realy good. One of the more balanced and complex whiskeys ive had. The peat comes through and so does the sherry. But just the right amount, neither overpowers. Really tasty.

Its very different from nikka coffey grain and coffey malt. Those taste like borbons, this is like a peaty scotch. Its pretty smooth for the proof. A bit peatier than i like but its pretty solid just not my thing.

I really liked Nikka coffee grain and then had this. This was so much better it was surprising. So frickin smooth. Pretty bourbony.

Nice thick mouthfeel and not as hot as you would expect for 58%. Read another review that mentioned red hots. I definitely get that. Not my favorite profile but it’s definitely a solid bourbon.

Super easy drinking. Not super flavorful but still tastes good and really smooth. A great intro bourbon. It’s really good for what it is. This is to bourbon as monkey shoulder is to scotch.
