This bottling marks the return of the Revival since it was discontinued in 2015 due to insufficient stock. This single malt release was created by master blender, Rachel Barrie. The single malt matured in Spanish oak ex-oloroso sherry and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks for 15 years. Bottled at 92 proof without chill-filtration or added color, this returns mid-October 2018 in the US with nationwide distribution.

Tasting Notes

"Sometimes performers hold back a bit out of fear of making a mistake. The aroma offers sherry cask trademarks: dried fruits, roasted nuts, and brown sugar. Some dark malt can be sussed out along with spices and pipe smoke. The palate shows great pedigree with a creamy mouthfeel and subdued sweetness. The alcohol does rear its head a little too much. The fruits seem steeped in it as if it will all be flambéed later. Towards the finish the flavors switch to savory with notes of wood char, smoke, and subtle tobacco. Adding water fends off the heat but thins the lovely texture. This dram knows all the steps but doesn’t give the flourish we know it can land."
