High West American Prairie Bourbon
Bourbon — (bottled in Utah), USA
Reviewed November 4, 2018 (edited August 17, 2020)A bit boring, but I do like this distiller's flavour profile in general. -
High West Campfire (Discontinued)
Blended American Whiskey — (bottled in Utah), Multiple Countries
Reviewed November 4, 2018 (edited November 5, 2018)Interesting stuff and I appreciate. A bit scattered though. First of all that small amount of barley add very little Scotch characters, and yes, it's got some smoke and peat and that's surprisingly harmonious. This distiller does the American whiskey part so nicely, so I'm pleased to try whatever they blend in with it. Being a Scotch snob, I do like this distiller very much. -

Glen Scotia 15 Year
Single Malt — Campbeltown, Scotland
Reviewed October 24, 2018 (edited October 29, 2018)Sherry-like (I am aware of that it seems not a sherry cask), oaky, very, and smoky (not peaty), vanilla, cake, ice cream, brown sugar, quite briny, peachy, and both chilli and herbal pepper spice on the nose... and something combined quite unique that I can't address - water chestnuts? Well... nah - a fairly complex nose. And then you drink what you smell. Rich, full, flavourful, sticky, enthusiastic and extensive.
