Great Sherry - great nose, very rich for 43%; oak, fruit, vanilla, honey, clove on the back end, very impressive, clean finish, one of the best blends I've had

drinking p13-30 months, Nose: wood, charred, brown sugar, raisins, sweet corn P: rich mouth, pleasant alcohol sightly dry into a artificial cinnamon like hot tamales, and finishes into slight vanilla

Very nice - well balanced and rounded, rich mouth/taste, classic speyside nose, rich toasted oak, sweet and sour contrast, some floral and spice - pepper, clove, fruit -apricot, vanilla on the end, overall just nice balance - great for the price

Great classic lagavulin just more up front, iondine/medicinal with a punch of peat, but not so much you can't work through, floral smooth finish, very good

Mouth is a little thin for the abv, nice delivery, great finish with good spice that lingers but doesn't overwhelm, the finish was great and brings this up quite a bit, well rounded, nice carmel/cracker Jack nose, vanilla icing and Carmel on the palate very pleasant

This one is tough, great smoke and pepper which I normally like, rich and heavy, nice finish but I get a very heavy cereal/malted taste and a meaty quality that really overwhelmed the rest, it's not a bad taste, but not what I enjoy, obviously a high quality drink but I would pass in favor of other things first

Really interesting and different than I expected, strong oak on the nose, leather oil, little sweet but more earthy,loses some points on the value scale

Good peat on the nose with alcohol, would have guessed it was a cask strength islay in Sherry cask if it was blinded by nose and appearance. Not overly smoky like the islays but it's there with a balcones malt finish, it's pretty loud for sure with the initial smoke then the high abv malt flavor, good and interesting

much improved after coming back to this after a few months N: Raw honey, light brown sugar, leaf tobacco/leather oil; old oak, black tea and clove, orange zest, cocoa P: mild sweetness starts with honey smoothly into oak, cinnamon and leather, and light brown sugar - spice remains and lingers just a little too much, orange zest arrives at the end, medium rich viscosity, long finish Blend tastes mature with no sharp edges, was not impressed with the first few tastes but much better afterward, upgraded the score

traditional bourbon flavors, but drier and not as sweet with a little more spice, it's fine/good, would drink it again and pick it over other entry level bourbons probably, but nothing that stands out in particular, finish fades quick
