Sample from Ryan. Top 5 bourbon from memory. Bested only by ECBP, EHT single barrel, OF 1920 (maybe), and Barrell #26 (maybe). Nothing super noteworthy other than that it was well crafted and tasty. Sampled side by side with FAE-02 and had a hard time distinguishing between the two. Subtle differences, but both excellent.60.0 USD per Bottle

Kilchoman Machir Bay Cask Strength (2020 Festive Edition)
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed August 12, 2021 (edited December 31, 2021)Very good. Big and bold. Heavy peat but also a fair amount of nuance. Honey, hay, barley, chocolate as noted by experts. One of longest or perhaps longest finishes/aftertastes I can recall. Reminds me of a cask strength Laphroaig, but more complex and less medicinal.70.0 USD per Bottle -
Lagavulin Offerman Edition Guinness Cask Finish
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed August 12, 2021 (edited November 19, 2021)Quite good. There's a bit of a chalky note that is about the only note that is a bit offputting. Everything else is quite good - lots of smoked chocolate and a bit of pepper/chili. Was hoping for a bit more complexity, but very drinkable and enjoyable.80.0 USD per Bottle -
Elijah Craig Barrel Select Bourbon (Heaven Hill Bourbon Experience)
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed August 5, 2021 (edited February 26, 2022)Not bad, but the spice and heat seemed to get in the way of the flavors. Preferred Larceny BP and ECBP to this. Didn't fully explore by adding water, etc. Neat packaging, but wouldn't purchase. -
Good. Preferred a bit more than Eagle Rare (extra proof?). Otherwise rather similar-a bit more heat and richer. After having a stellar single barrel, I was hoping for more complexity, etc. out of the small batch. Would purchase a bottle, but not going to go to great lengths or pay a premium.9.0 USD per Pour

Larceny Barrel Proof Bourbon Batch A121
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed June 7, 2021 (edited June 23, 2021)As a Larceny fan, I was excited to try a pour of this. The note was great. The palate and finish were a bit less stellar. Since this was a 1 oz pour with dinner, I'm not convinced that I spent enough time with it, but I came away with the impression that this was only slightly better than the standard bottle. This is nearly identical. I was hoping for added complexity and richness, but only really found additional spice and heat.7.0 USD per Pour -
Whistlepig 10 Year Small Batch Rye
Rye — (bottled in) Vermont, Canada
Reviewed May 21, 2021 (edited August 1, 2021)Rather nice. Too much spice for me to enough regularly, but flavors were great. I could easily see how this could be someone's favorite rye. More complex than I was expecting. Grassy/herbal, floral, barrel, bourbon, and baking spice flavors all presented at different times during the sip/pour.80.0 USD per Bottle
