Four Roses Single Barrel Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed November 19, 2021 (edited December 5, 2021)I find four roses to be really hard for me to pinpoint tasting notes and find the reason I love it so much. In general, I don’t love high rye expressions. I don’t get strong notes of particularly anything but when I drink this and small batch I just enjoy them immensely.44.0 USD per Bottle -
Glenfiddich 14 Year Bourbon Barrel Reserve
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed November 18, 2021 (edited March 1, 2022)I have been looking for a cheap scotch to have as a daily drinker. I avoided glenfiddich because the packaging looked like something from hobby lobby. However the reviews in this particular dram were overwhelmingly positive. I went ahead and put my ego aside and bought this. I’m massively disappointed. It taste like a poor man’s monkey shoulder that I paid. $22 more for. Glenfiddich 15 year is much better. Trying to bridge the gap between bourbon and scotch lovers just didn’t work for me.52.0 USD per Bottle -
Linkumpinch 4 Year Single Barrel Cask Strength Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed November 8, 2021I can’t even begin to describe this. One of the most unique bourbons I’ve ever tasted. My wife said it had a bacon note to it. I kind of noticed it afterwards. It’s got some burn but I like it. -
Johnnie Walker Green Label 15 Year
Blended Malt — Scotland
Reviewed November 7, 2021 (edited December 6, 2021)I really like this for the price point I get it for. Looking at what others paid, I probably wouldn't go over $65 USD for this. That being said, it’s very solid. I like peated scotch but some of the stuff like ardbeg 10 is a bit too much for me. The balance of this is just right.55.0 USD per Bottle -
