Interesting. Initial nose gives green apple jolly rancher candy and pear, and baking spices with tobacco and hints of cedar later in the experience. It’s a nice smooth mouthfeel that offers a touch of spice with caramel and toffee being more prevalent. The finish is decently long lasting but I get a late bitter on the back of the tongue. Overall I enjoyed it.

Reminds me of growing up, the smell is of a tack room in the horse barn. Lots of leather, hay and dirt. Although it’s pleasant memories with those smells, it’s not something I think is good for a drink. Fitting that it’s from Fort Worth, it’s very “Texas smelling”. The flavor is not as reminiscent of the aforementioned barn, but not something I would write home to mom about. It’s rich, just not significant to me. Mouth feel is nice, and fades pleasantly.

TX Blended Whiskey
Blended American Whiskey — (bottled in) Texas, USA
Reviewed June 20, 2018 (edited February 4, 2019)Not sure if I was eating vanilla ice cream or drinking whiskey. Not that I hate that, it just wasn’t what I was expecting. It’s got a place for me but likely not my go-to, however I would buy it again.
