Ethanol and brown sugar dominate the initial nose, some dark fruit shines through after a few drops of water and some time to breath. The front side of spicy and grainy. The flavor lingers but gives way to a sweet oak and more brown sugar. I’m not normally super fond of high proofs, but it’s solid.

Decent flavor once you get bast the spicy bite. Smells higher proof that it is, same as the way it taste.you can make out some grain and i also got some apple and pear.

Interesting. Initial nose gives green apple jolly rancher candy and pear, and baking spices with tobacco and hints of cedar later in the experience. It’s a nice smooth mouthfeel that offers a touch of spice with caramel and toffee being more prevalent. The finish is decently long lasting but I get a late bitter on the back of the tongue. Overall I enjoyed it.

Terrible. Maybe it was my bottle, but it tasted skunky. Maybe I’ll try another bottle one day, but not anything soon. But the bottle is cool I guess.

Reminds me of growing up, the smell is of a tack room in the horse barn. Lots of leather, hay and dirt. Although it’s pleasant memories with those smells, it’s not something I think is good for a drink. Fitting that it’s from Fort Worth, it’s very “Texas smelling”. The flavor is not as reminiscent of the aforementioned barn, but not something I would write home to mom about. It’s rich, just not significant to me. Mouth feel is nice, and fades pleasantly.

Heavy alcohol on the nose but pleasant hints of cherry, fruit peel and corn. The flavors to me are more traditional rye with spice and cinnamon. It lingers on the pallet and in the throat, but it’s not unpleasant, it sits long enough to encourage another sip.

Crisp green apple dominate the nose with a spicy, citrusy flavor and a pleasant heated finish. Top end rye for me.

Not sure if I was eating vanilla ice cream or drinking whiskey. Not that I hate that, it just wasn’t what I was expecting. It’s got a place for me but likely not my go-to, however I would buy it again.
