Well balanced for a peated whiskey. Fruity and sweet with smoked peat on the finish. Lacks the medicinal flavor of Laphroaig et al, smoother and less complex. A little spicy burn. Easy to drink for scotch.

Like drunken dark cherries. Super rich and long lasting. Hot with cinnamon and spices. Sweet, drying, slightly bitter finish that lasts and lasts. Alcohol burn is not bad considering the proof. I’m a fan.

This is a Center Point single barrel store pick, 110 proof. Beautiful color, a deep dark amber. Left the first pour out for ten minutes before trying. Few drops of water. Nose is rich bread, a little floral with some citrus. Rich and oaky. Some cinnamon heat gives way to cherries and dark chocolate. Very warming. A bit like Backbone Bourbon. Second sip is rich cherries and dark fruits.

Sweet and not too spicy for a high rye. Soft finish, smoother than you’d think. Would buy a bottle.

Spicy rye, thin mouthfeel, short finish. Warm in the chest. A little medicinal to me, though not rated that way. Would drink again, probably wouldn’t buy a bottle.

Smokey, briney, peat single malt. Definitely has that iodine, medicinal flavor, but pleasant finish of smoke and oak. Light mouthfeel, not very rich. Like a baby Laphroaig.

Thin mouthfeel; cinnamon and oak; almost so lightly sweet that it reminds me of a wheated bourbon. Easy dessert-sweet drinker.

Light mouth feel, honeyed smoke finish. Light peat, light vanilla notes. Easy drinking daily scotch.

Wheat cereal with light fruit and malt. Easy warmth without bite. Palate stays with cereal and maybe vanilla.

A winter bourbon. Warm and spicy, with more clove than cinnamon. Deep and rich. Beautiful dark rum color, thick mouth feel. 117 proof without too much heat.
