Glenmorangie The Original 10 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed August 17, 2015 (edited October 28, 2019)I wouldn't add water to this, it may vanish into thin air ! . Nice nose, citrus, light, floral. Middle is the best part... Slight honey, orange, vanilla. Reminds me of an Irish. Biggest complaint is that the finish just kind of goes, 'meh', and falls off a cliff. Not a fave, but, don't hate it. Would rather have Fiddich in this price range, or a good Irish. -
Highland Park 12 Year
Single Malt — Islands, Scotland
Reviewed August 17, 2015 (edited August 21, 2017)Great price. The gateway to peat experience . Very melllow and smooth. Slightly tobacco, pineapple, leather arrival ... A bit of vegetable and salt air in middle palate and the finish hits the back of your tongue with a soft burst of smoke like campfire ! Really nice. Added to top shelf . Want to try 15 -
I thought I was a Highland preference, girl until I tasted this. Instant convert . Absolutely amazing and the flavor keeps changing. I consider it the ' Everlasting Gobstopper ' of the Scotch world. Is now my favorite. Tons of smoke but BALANCED with hints of citrus, sweet, salty and of course that peat . I never thought I would fall in love with an Islay, and then this happened :)

Powers John's Lane Release 12 Year
Single Pot Still — Ireland
Reviewed July 7, 2015 (edited August 1, 2018)Really love Powers. Not even close to RedBreast( but very few are lol) but it is at the top of my Irish list . Smooth, vanilla, nice body and finish . Great dram -
Been drinking scotch for about a year now , seriously. Have been an Irish whiskey lover much longer. Been making my way through the ' regions ' of Scotland, dram by dram. This one came in a three type gift pack w other Juras , and this one was by far the nicest . Rich body , peat and overall smoothness. Would buy again, on its own
