Has a nice floral scent, the taste is decent, typical floral aromas and has that western oak taste, which tends to be lighter than some other oaks. The ending taste isn’t harsh and has slight oak and sweetness. With an ice cube, it tends to open more. This isn’t a bad whiskey, but it doesn’t really stand out among other choices that are available.70.0 USD per Bottle

Initially smells of cinnamon and definitely the pot still scents. However the initial taste is more of mud and grass with a faint bit of cinnamon that disappears at the middle and ending taste of some heat and likely is influenced by the youth of this whiskey. Much better can be found.30.0 USD per Bottle

1792 Full Proof Straight Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed September 22, 2021 (edited September 28, 2021)I tried to like this but just can’t quite get there. It starts off with a tart up front taste with a bit of burned grape taste, then leads to burned bananas, and a little bit of wood and pepper, almost a dirt or sand smell and taste. Even the scent smells of heat, unfortunately after several tries the alcohol burn and burned everything tasting notes makes this one a pass.50.0 USD per Bottle -
Single barrel survivor store pick, and I wasn’t sure what to expect other than the guys kept saying it was interesting. Turns out it’s interesting in a good way if you like very smooth buttery vanilla caramel pour! Scent is vanilla and a slight bit of banana. After opening it for a few days the true caramel and vanilla flavors come out. Surprisingly there’s only a hint of wood at the end along with warmth, but not alcohol burn. Picked up a second bottle before they’re gone.40.0 USD per BottleGrapes & Grains Wine & Spirits

Three Chord 12 Year Twelve Bar Reserve Barrel Proof
Bourbon — USA
Reviewed July 14, 2021 (edited July 16, 2021)Letting it open after a neck pour and evaluating after a third pour about 3 weeks later. Initial smell is of leather and oak with a hint of caramel. Tasting it yields a warm but slightly nutty taste, with a slight hint of caramel in the middle taste. Ends with a bit of extra warm leather and caramel finish. It’s a decent sipper neat or with ice, but there are better choices out there in this price range.72.0 USD per Bottle -
Elijah Craig Barrel Proof Bourbon Batch A121
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed July 9, 2021 (edited July 23, 2021)This is a great bourbon after it has a chance to open up. It has a hit of a coffee and caramel scent. The front starts off with the sweet warm caramel mixed with apple notes. The middle yields a warm caramel and vanilla taste. It follows through with a bit of sweet vanilla and coffee and caramel heat, but it’s very smooth throughout. Definitely different and better than regular Elijah Craig, which has its own good qualities as well.69.0 USD per Bottle -
Jefferson's Ocean Aged at Sea Voyage 22 Special Wheated Mash Bill
Bourbon — USA
Reviewed May 28, 2021I’ve tried this three times after letting it open up over a week then a month then a few more weeks. Initially it smells pleasing, like oranges and a bit of vanilla with little or no oak. Initial taste is sweet but is followed by overpowering orange flavor then it just becomes heat and burn with a hint of oak and more burn at the end. As much as I want to like it, I just can’t get on board with this voyage.64.0 USD per Bottle -
After a few pours I really wanted to like this single barrel pick. It is decent, but it doesn’t seem to stand out amongst all the other bourbons that are out there. The nose smells of light caramel and oak. The initial taste is some light orange and caramel and light oak, with a little burn. The middle taste and finish carries the same flavor notes but the burn seems to linger a little too long at the end.40.0 USD per Bottle
