Tastes

Has a slightly oaky aroma but no alcohol heat smell. Tasting yields some cherry and vanilla along with a moderate oak taste. Has some heat in the end of the palate but still pretty easy to drink. Store pick from Las Vegas.

Hints of oak and not a lot of burn, some burn on the back end. Not a bad bourbon overall but don’t see all the hype either.

Very smooth bourbon. Wood taste on the palate and also a wood aroma. Not much hint of fruit and a slight caramel taste. No afterburner at the end. If it can be found it’s a great bourbon.

A little bit of orange and oak scent. Initial taste reveals more orange and a little caramel, followed by some earthy and wood or oak notes. Just a bit of heat in the middle and end of a sip. Seems to be becoming one of my go to bourbons.

Solid sipping single barrel bourbon that is moderately priced and seems widely available. Hints of fruit scent without any alcohol smell and a little oak. Initial taste is a bit of spice, then followed by. Smooth caramel and cherry mid drink, finishing with a little oak taste and hint of spice.

Strong ethanol smell, too much ethanol and alcohol taste for the price point. Notes of oak, and a bit of fruit. String burning aftertaste. Tried two bottles with basically the same results. Pass.

Store pick. An interesting bourbon and taste. Little upfront smell, slightly nutty, no ethanol smell. On the palate is more of a spicy flavor, hints of caramel and vanilla, with a spicy almost cola chocolate backside. A nice, but different sipper.

Store pick. Not much alcohol smell, has a cherry and cinnamon odor upon opening. Tasting is cinnamon and a bit of cherry and some caramel notes, almost no burn at the end. Smooth for a single barrel.

Store pick from Max’s Bottle Shop. Different than regular EC for sure. Opening the bottle revealed an immediate cherry scent, very little oak. Tasting was initially cherries and other fruit scents, and hints of caramel. Slight hint of oak on the back side. A good reasonable sipper!

Initially not a lot of ethanol or alcohol smell. Initial taste of heavy oak, charred forest smell, not a great amount of sweetness lot of, a little bit of end tasting fire and smoke. Different but decently smooth.
