For an Islay bottle, people seem to either love them or hate them. Some will rave about it's peaty finish, while others will say it tastes like an ashtray. Personally, I found it well refined, certainly peat heavy - it twists my palate initially, but found it more enjoyable the more I drank.

Incredibly smooth, possibly even to a fault - but it's bold hint of fruity spice gives this incredibly easy to drink whisky a satisfying warmth. Quite possibly one of my favorite bottles for it's price point.
