Nose: presents with a umami smell along with th earthy agave. At first, the smells challenged each other, making the nose not very appealing but opened up to a favorable balance. Palate: As with the nose, the flavors at first sip overpowered each other and seemed less desirable. As the por was able to open, it did become more enjoyable with some light earthy unami tones with some flavor of agave.

Old Grand-Dad Bonded Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed December 31, 2022 (edited April 3, 2023)Nose: Citrus orange on the nose with rye notes Taste: Baking spice and molasses in the front. Sweet notes of oak, vanilla and corn. Hint of citrus at the end. Texture: covers the palate nicely and is smooth Recommend neat or as a mixer for the price and provides good flavor for the price as a daily sipper -
Nose: honey, oak, vanilla and fruit Taste: starts off with a spice flavor that fades into a light oak with a fruit forward finish, got a hint of raspberry and orange on the back Taste after 10 minutes: flavor grows more sweet with notes of molasses and citrus notes and very slight notes of dark fruit Would recommend as it's a balanced bourbon with some good complexity for the price,, just lacking in strong notes that shine through
