Bowmore 18 Year
Peated Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed September 29, 2021 (edited November 7, 2021)My first 18 year. Nose doesn't stand out. Palate is fruit, caramel, and a tiny bit a peat. Finish is short and nothing special. It's good but I prefer a much more smokey and peaty scotch. Although my palate is horrible. Not overly impressed. Still great though. -
Lagavulin 8 Year
Peated Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed June 23, 2021 (edited April 10, 2022)Basically a scaled down 16 year. A lot less peat and smoke. Definitely sweeter than the 16. Very smooth and I am thoroughly impressed as this is my first 8 year scotch. -
Bowmore 12 Year
Peated Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed January 4, 2021 (edited January 11, 2021)Probably my favourite scotch in the price range. Salty, peaty, smokey, but not overly smokey. Great intro to islay scotch. -
Lagavulin 16 Year
Peated Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed January 4, 2021 (edited January 26, 2021)This is my favourite scotch so far. Peat and smoke through and through, I love it. Meaty, smoke and iodine on the nose. -
Bowmore 15 Year
Peated Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed January 3, 2021 (edited September 22, 2022)I dont have an amazing palate but I thoroughly enjoyed this scotch. Not as much smoke as I like but certainly rich, and smooth with hints of chocolate. I enjoyed the 12 year more, just due to the more smokey flavor. Its amazing on the nose.
