Nose: blast of maple syrup and oak. Palate: vanilla, maple, citrus and light cherry Finish: relatively long and delicious

Immediately smelling the cork I didn't get much on the nose and on first pour I really couldn't distinguish any aromas rather than alcohol. On the sip I first noticed a mild sweetness and surprising tingly spiciness. Afterwards I tasted the lightest port wine barrel flavor and then unto the long, warm, almost cabernet sauvignon type burn. Overall not worth the $45 I paid for it but I'm sure given some time it'll wear on me.

While it is highly overrated it is very good too. Super smooth palate with almost no bite whatsoever. All the normal flavors of bourbon with some cherry and slight sweetness tasting of the skin of an apple. Did I mention smooth?? It has a surprisingly fast finish. Overall a great value for the price I payed, however it is way too hard to acquire. As with all BT products. Must have for any good whiskey collection. Edit: After further sipping I have uncovered almost a raisin flavor mixed with some dark, earthy wood. Kind of dry on the throat, so have some water as well..or drink faster! So delicious! I cannot believe how smooth this is.

OGD BiB is quickly becoming a favorite of mine! The 100 proof OGD is an amazing, cheap whiskey that delivers a simple nose of citrus (orange peel almost), typical caramel, vanilla and oak. I even get some sugar in there as well as a result of the age. The palate comes heavy with orange flavor, some spice and all your characteristic bourbon flavors. A little bite from the proofing but it's not crazy tough. It has a long lasting finish that'll be sure to warm the stomach for awhile. I would highly recommend to anyone, especially at this price point. It is perfect for fall/winter cocktails. Get you some. Also Basil Hayden's likeness is on the bottle because it's the same mash bill iirc! Edit: I forgot to mention that while sipping when I burp I get sunflower kernel flavor..weird but not awful!

I am huge fun of this! It has some amazing hints of vanilla and oak with corn. On the finish I got some lingering spice and some sweetness from the wheat mash bill. The iconic wax dipping and the bottle shape were the ideas of Bill Samuels wife, Margie Samuels. I thought that was very interesting and so do everyone I tell who buy it from me.

If you like peated whiskeys this is probably not a bad choice. I, however, hate peated whiskeys, at least for now.

Just your average, run-of-the-mill bourbon. Light caramel and sweetness. Not aggressive and quick finish. Perfect for a mix drink, if that’s your thing. This isn’t a “drink it neat only” type of whiskey.

Very light, refreshing bourbon. Light vanilla and immature oak with slight caramel. Very cheap and perfect for an everyday occasion!

Relatively subtle hints of vanilla and sweetness. More oak flavor mid-palate due to the extra aging and a light spice. Though long lasting with a pretty aggressive citrus flavor, almost grapefruit in my opinion on the back. Beautiful, cheap bourbon. Edit: After a couple weeks sipping on this I have found a profound mysterious nuttiness, almost walnut or possibly unripe pecan.
