Canadian Club invitation series 18 Year High Proof
Canadian — Canada, Canada
Reviewed August 17, 2025 (edited August 19, 2025)Smooth and rich but looks like it has caramel coloring and tastes like it has additives (maybe wine, NGS). Sad way to ruin a promising high proof 18. Learn from what the Americans did with Straight and Bourbon whiskies and keep Canadian whiskies additive and coloring free, please! People who’d buy this have no problem with high age, high proof whiskies having a light color or staying true to the natural flavor of the aged distillate. Save the wine for the sangria, the caramel for the desserts and out of whisky!65.0 USD per BottleLCBO -
It’s very good bourbon but not sure the finishing makes it better. Definitely makes it different but can’t make out the Mezcal notes. May just try mix Benchmark FP and Tapatio 110 to make bourbon taste like tequila! Applaud the effort but would not spend another $75 on this.75.0 USD per BottleGrapes & Grains Wine & Spirits
