Tastes

Nose of caramel, fresh bread, vanilla, melon, pear and sherry cask. Sweet on the palate, vanilla, bread, oak, toast, slight bitterness. Dry finish. Lovely aroma, but the taste falls a little short. Maybe after it’s been open for a bit…ok it’s better.

Nose of Red Hots, coffee, leather, oak, tobacco, caramel and dark chocolate. On the palate there are sweet vanilla, spicy cinnamon, cherry, dark chocolate and oak. Mildly spicy finish.

Vanilla, oak, cinnamon, mint and caramel nose. Sweet taste; caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, black pepper, oak and rye.

Nose of white bread, some light wood, vanilla and cinnamon; faint pumpkin pie and brandy. Not much happening as far as the taste; some light caramel and spice with a hint of vanilla. Lingering spiced finish. Two Stars is an appropriate name. I wouldn’t be keen on a hotel, restaurant, etc. that gets two stars, and this fits the bill. Bonus points for me (not the whiskey) for going with the mini.

Vanilla, peach, apple, char, oak, wheat bread and nutty nose. Lightly spicy, lightly sweet, oaky and salty on the palate, with peanuts, soft vanilla and mint, and black cherry in the finish.

Nose of apples, pear, leather, vanilla and honey. Sweet on the palate with honey, apple, caramel and vanilla; finishing long with a little spicy heat.

Nose vanilla, barrel, burnt popcorn, and a touch of citrus. Tastes of sweet vanilla, wood and a touch of smoke.
