Mezcal Joven — Oaxaca, Mexico
Reviewed November 17, 2024Nose of mint, earth, petrichor, citrus, apple, charred wood, grape, Teddy Grahams. On the palate char, minerals, rubber, wood, apple, agave. Long médium hot finish. @twostal -
The nose is actually more like white dog whiskey than vodka, essentially corn and alcohol with some barley and/or other bread grain and earth notes at the end. On the palate it’s really smooth but with spicy flavors, grains, roasted corn and pepper, smoke. Long burnt something finish. Odd but interesting.Spoetzl German-Texan Brewery

@twostal Rich, herbal, fruity nose. Earth, charred wood, something spicy. Peppery, briny and herbal on the palate, a little smoky and sweet with hints of fruit.Mezcal y Mole Oaxaca
