    The nose is alcohol, but not too intense. Taste is alcohol, some sweetness, soft oily mouthfeel. I don't usually drink straight vodka, but this is not unpleasant

    The aroma is sweet coffee. Taste is very sweet, almost like a coffee flavored hard candy. I drank this 40 years ago, am not used to drinks this sweet anymore. I get that it's a liqueur, but I think it's unbalanced. Worked fine in a black Russian though.

    Beautiful amber color. Intriguing aroma of dark fruit, nutmeg. Taste is sweet balanced by complex sharp botanicals, like forest undergrowth. Interesting on it's own, but makes a nice Manhattan.

    Definitely got vanilla on the nose. Tasted butterscotch, smoke, wood, some sweetness, and alcohol. Pleasant for sipping, not as far from a bourbon as I might have thought.

    On the nose I'm getting toffee, wood, even turpentine, maybe a hint of vanilla. Interesting and somewhat redolent of bourbon. Taste is a bit more vanilla, light wood, and alcohol burn. Lots more burn and plenty of spice on the finish. I'm a bourbon drinker and some say this might be a good rum for bourbon drinkers, but not sure I'm feeling it, at least sipped straight.

    Light color, gold. Aroma is wood, rye bread, spice. Taste is an intense but light spice at first, maybe cinnamon? Then sweeter. Not bad, different from other ryes I've had.

    Aroma of wood, vanilla, pitch and alcohol. Taste of wood, dark fruit, strong alcohol burn. Nonetheless quite smooth.

    Lots of spice and some intriguing orange on the nose. Taste. I'm getting spice and wood, and lots of alcohol burn, especially on the finish. Sippable, I guess, but probably won't be a go to sipper for me. Look forward to trying it in cocktails.

    Clear as water. Hits the nose fast with overwhelming orange peel, something perfumey, like orange marmalade. Taste is sweet intense orange, with a balancing alcohol burn. Warm, rich, intense, if mostly a single note.

    Lovely clear dark gold amber color. Aroma is pears and a nice fresh tar. Taste is sweet, soft, vanilla and a kick that is some combination of wood tannin and alcohol burn. Definitely sippable.
