Nice dark rum with the Jamaican flavour for mixing. To me tastes like a budget version of Appleton Rare. Certainly preferred over Goslings Black Seal

It’s like tasty fire. I love it. Kinda similar to cachaça. Tiny sips.

Dry and woody. Like licking a barrel with a bit of rum on it. More of a mixer than a sipper for me. I much prefer the cheaper reserve blend for both. Edit: I’ve started to appreciate this rum more as the bottle has gotten emptier. Maybe it’s not as funky as the reserve but it’s still pretty decent.
