Ardbeg Wee Beastie
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed October 16, 2020 (edited October 27, 2020)Spent some more time with this, quite enjoying it now but I still expected it to be more peaty than it is considering the young age. Picking up something faintly reminding of raspberry both on the nose and taste which I think is new to me, the aftertaste has some hints of anise which I really enjoy. It is relatively spicy and quite sweet. Out of the core range it is in the last place. Final update and score lowered. All in all it has been a disappointing experience. I won’t buy this one again.449.0 SEK per Bottle -
My first whisky from India, I am impressed with this one. The peat has been imported from Scotland and the barley is an Indian variety, the combination is a quite softly peated whisky with very interesting sweet characters. Tropical fruits, anise and spice with this medium-low peat makes for a nice sip!

GlenAllachie 12 Year
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed August 27, 2020 (edited October 27, 2020)Disregarding the fact that I think the font looks like some Flintstonian knock-off the contents is pretty great! Non-chill filtered, no color added coming in at 46% ABV delivering an excellent Speyside experience. The nose is very sweet, I get a lot of pear and fruit from it. Mouth is full of sweet and spice, very satisfying and the pretty long cinnamon spice aftertaste makes me want another sip. Putting in a couple of drops of water rounds it off a bit more and the sweetness is even better I would say, and the spicy tingling does not bend to some pesky water drops. Solid whisky, I will pick up another bottle to gift to one of my friends. I think he will enjoy it as much as I have. -
Laphroaig Triple Wood
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed August 7, 2020 (edited August 31, 2021)It has been almsost a week since I opened the bottle and has improved from my initial taste. It has opened up nicely! The sherry influence is quite prominent both in the nose and the taste, it smells fantastic! You can't mistake this for any other Islay, but maybe the sherry reminds me a bit of Bowmore 18? It is not my favorite Laphroaig but that by no means it is bad. I suggest you check it out. Edit: Bumping this one up to 4.5 as it disappeared very fast. :)
