Flat and one-dimensional. I have no idea how this scored a 93. I love ECBP, but this was an insane miss. It has nothing to do with proof. The flavors just aren’t there.

I ended up trying this, really just to see how it compares to Woodford DO. This is clearly younger, but the higher proof gives the flavors a nice punch. You’ll have some burn, but a cube of ice really opens it up and takes the edge off. Its not woodford, but its a very nice expression.

Well worth a try. Not a JD fan, but this will always be on my bar.

Very solid. Not its big brother UCUF, but very solid for the price.

My bottle was absolutely overwhelming with oak and ethanol. Not at all like the HM10 or jts brown. I had really expected more from this bottle. I opened a second to see if perhaps quality control had failed and it seems oak and heavy spice take hold of this particular expression.

10yo BT. Some slightly more complex flavors with cherry, honey and richer vanilla flavors. When this was 29.95 you’d feel great picking up a bottle as a 10 year age stated product with good flavor for 90 proof. Now the hype has set in and people buy out shelves and sell for 90+ which is beyond silly. For the srp it was great but the flavors are stunted at 90 proof and the way BT bottles ER means bottle to bottle variation can make a bottle amazing or mediocre. Try a store pick 10 year EC small batch for $30 if you can’t find ER. Its more complex for less.

Enjoyable bottom shelf whiskey. This is your standard bourbon. Caramel, vanilla, sweet with some spice and oak. This is NOT worth more than srp and if you can’t get it you can easily switch to woodford and get basically the same standard bourbon experience.

Not bad for what it is. Definitely soft and not particularly complex. This is something you can sip without needing to pay too much attention to, like during a BBQ or some other social gathering.

Heavy ethanol and spice. There is a lot of unripe banana that seems to be in everything Barton. Little to no complexity. No idea how this won any awards.

This is an awesome bib product. It’s inexpensive and bottom shelf, yet it punches well above its weight. Unfortunately the secret is out and it has become near impossible to find in many places. If you see a bottle, buy one. Just leave one on the shelf for me.
