Arran Machrie Moor 5th Edition (2014 Release)
Single Malt — Islands, Scotland
Reviewed June 28, 2019 (edited September 27, 2022)Sweet, light, floral, and a touch of peat that rounds off the backside after a taste. Delicious and masterfully balanced. -
William Heavenhill 12 Year Barrel Proof (7th Edition)
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed June 28, 2019 (edited September 3, 2020)Booze and cinnamon bomb. Fills the mouth with a lush, oily spice the erupts into a soft heat. It doesn’t burn, but it lets you know it’s there. Lingers for quite awhile after it’s gone. This doesn’t drink like 135 proof. Reminds me of the high proof George T Staggs, but with a lot more spice. Wonderful and worth picking up. -
Sam Houston 12 Year Kentucky Straight Bourbon (Release No. 2 2019)
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed June 28, 2019 (edited February 28, 2020)12 year Barton. Good whiskey, but not great. Pricey for a bottle as well. I’d go for a 1792 BiB if you could find that instead. -
Peerless Small Batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed June 22, 2019 (edited August 18, 2019)Barrel-proof, 4 year bourbon from Peerless. Really robust, full flavored experience. Coats the mouth and has a good chew. Strong start for the brand for certain. -
