Parce 8 Year Rum
Aged Rum — ColombiaTastedWait, this is rum? If I drank this blindfolded I'd swear it was bourbon. Wonderful for sipping neat to enjoy its woody character, as long as you're not looking for a particularly "tropical" taste.
The Botanist Gin
Modern Gin — Islay, ScotlandTastedA clean, crisp, and neutral spirit. Wonderful for mixing but just not particularly pleasant to drink neat.
The Deveron 12 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, ScotlandTastedBalanced in every way. Gorgeous bottle design too!
Clyde May's Straight Bourbon
Bourbon — Alabama, USATastedI don't care for overly sweet whiskey, and thankfully this isn't one. Great body, rich flavor, subtle burn. A solid buy for your money (I paid $35 USD). And how 'bout that ridiculously handsome bottle design?!
Distilled Gin — Illinois, USATastedAbsolutely delicious. Fruity, herbal. Has an almost creamy feel to it that I haven't encountered in other gins. Similar to the equally fantastic Koval gin.
Auchentoshan Three Wood
Single Malt — Lowlands, ScotlandTastedComplex flavor profile but gentle and drinkable. Not smoky or peaty, but thankfully not too sweet either.
Auchentoshan American Oak
Single Malt — Lowlands, ScotlandTastedThe influence of the bourbon barrel is evident, though AO isn't as sweet as typical bourbon (thankfully). A little alcohol burn. Tasty, not heavy.
St. George Terroir Gin
Modern Gin — California, USATastedA California forest in liquid form. The spices are woody, floral, herbal, and fresh. Really delightful and distinct taste.
Aviation American Gin
Modern Gin — Oregon, USATastedI find the taste of fennel/black licorice to be unpleasant in general, but in this gin that taste is subtle enough to be really nice. A clean sipper.
Long Road Distillers White Whiskey
White — Michigan, USATastedI taste rye and corn. Has a distinct sweetness to it. Not bad, but not great either. Could be that in just not a fan of white whiskey.
