Wait, this is rum? If I drank this blindfolded I'd swear it was bourbon. Wonderful for sipping neat to enjoy its woody character, as long as you're not looking for a particularly "tropical" taste.

I don't care for overly sweet whiskey, and thankfully this isn't one. Great body, rich flavor, subtle burn. A solid buy for your money (I paid $35 USD). And how 'bout that ridiculously handsome bottle design?!

Absolutely delicious. Fruity, herbal. Has an almost creamy feel to it that I haven't encountered in other gins. Similar to the equally fantastic Koval gin.

The influence of the bourbon barrel is evident, though AO isn't as sweet as typical bourbon (thankfully). A little alcohol burn. Tasty, not heavy.

A California forest in liquid form. The spices are woody, floral, herbal, and fresh. Really delightful and distinct taste.

I find the taste of fennel/black licorice to be unpleasant in general, but in this gin that taste is subtle enough to be really nice. A clean sipper.

I taste rye and corn. Has a distinct sweetness to it. Not bad, but not great either. Could be that in just not a fan of white whiskey.
