Most bourbon is frankly pretty boring to me, but that's because I don't really enjoy sweet whiskey in general. Noah's Mill is one of the only bourbons that has really caught me off guard and blown me away. It has a deep, dark taste to it, like a mahogany chest. Despite being high-proof, it's balanced and pleasing to the tongue. Really fantastic dram.50.0 USD per Bottle

I bought this for the bottle design + single malt + price ($25 USD at Binny's). Desert sweetness with a hint of smoke. Strangely it paired really well with Oreos. For the price I only have one complaint: it's impossible to pour this bottle without dribbling down the side. I guess there's a reason you don't see hexagonal bottles very often.

La Luna Cupreata Mezcal

Rock Oyster Blended Malt
Blended Malt — Islands, Scotland

I get notes of subtle maple on the nose. Taste is hot and barely discernable and I'm feeling disappointed... but then the finish! The best part by far. Herbal, spicy, and strongly reminiscent of pipe tobacco (which is delightful to me as a pipe smoker and collector). The finish transitions into a lovely aftertaste that leaves me wanting more. Overall: boring first half, dynamic second half. Worth buying a bottle to me.

Sort of a like greatest-hits collection of scotch with a little bit of everything: a little sweet, a little vanilla, a little peat smoke, a little spice. No one flavor really dominates. You can try to decipher it if you want, or you can just drink it while doing something else and you won't mind it. An easy and inexpensive whisky to keep around for background use or to offer friends new to scotch.
