Fantastic! You really get a bunch of syrupy cherry and fruit on the nose, some vanilla. Flavor is sweet and full of wine tannins and flavor. Quite delicious. I would absolutely buy this bottle again. And again and again and again!

Quite smoky, but almost like a dying fire smoke. Not much in the way of sherry sweetness. But hints of chocolate. Smooth and fairly light for an Islay.

Definitely has some spice per the high rye content but the flavor was like an odd pepper. Smooth, long finish. I think the price on this makes it fun once but wouldn’t look to buy again.

Like a flash in the pan, this was over barely after it started. Thin and weak, really nothing up front or on the finish. Only thing going for it was the higher proof.

Definite pear on the nose, good flavor with baking spice taste. Light finish. Not sure this would hold up well in a cocktail...

Smooth, more middle and finish and not much up front. I do pick up some cherry immediately on the noise that turns into vanilla and butterscotch. Taste is grassy and a little spicy. Not bad, I could drink this again.

Sauternes didn’t come through as much as I’d hoped but the port and Madeira shined. Finishing in those barrels took some sting out of the spice and brought delicious fruit bites to the top. I’m not usually a rye guy but this bottle was fantastic.🥃

Oh yeah, candy and stone fruits on the nose. Dry with a hint of salty on the tongue. Finish sweetens up again, malty chocolate for sure. Quite awesome!
