Excellent dram. Compares nicely to Macallan Cask Strength which is one of my favorites. A spot of water definitely opens it up and brings out some of the alcohol notes along with the Sherry. Not for the faint of heart.

My go-to rye for mixing traditional Manhattans. Not bad straight, but there are better choices; this is one of the best economical choices in widely available ryes.

Fruity, sherry-like nose, fruity taste with some spiciness, smooth but strong finish. Flourishes with the addition of a few drops of water.

Probably the sweetest of the Glenlivets with fairly strong hints of sherry, but delicious overall. Hints of chocolate and is extremely smooth in the mouth.

Definitely a whisky to try without water then with a few drops of water to experience the difference. Overall very delicious, but not in same league a Macallan Cask Strength. Am looking forward to trying the Oloroso Nadurra to see how it compares.

Probably my favorite bourbon. Starts out strong and finishes smooth, with or without water. Lacks most of the characteristic bourbon sweetness, which is all to the good in my mind.

Truly one of the best! NOSE: Sherry, vanilla, spicy TASTE: Vanilla, spiciness, very slightly sweet finish
