Tastes

Very light in color and taste. Only the smallest hint of sweetness, with gentle peatiness on the tongue. Not very challenging, but nice and enjoyable after a long week.

The peat is balanced out by the sherry. I feel like it's what the Lore wishes it could be, and it's almost half the price. Big, bold, rich, and lovely.

Soft, subtle, sweet, and just a hint of peat. I haven't had this special dram in a while. Such a steal for the price. Quite a special whisky.

On the nose I get a ton of fresh cut oak, the tongue is full of rye spice and sweetness, but it's a bit richer than I was expecting. All in all very similar to the 13 year, I expected the extra 3 years to mute it a bit but found it to be pretty bright and sharp!
