115.1 proof - sample from a friend Nose: Surprisingly light on the nose for cask Strength. Vanilla and some dark fruit, with a herbal/grassy note in the back. Palate: spicy on first drink. Cinnamon spice, with some vanilla but drinks a bit hotter (and I enjoy barrel proof) than I prefer. With some water, sweetness of caramel and vanilla really amps up. Somehow seems more creamy with the water too. I dont normally add water, but I prefer this one with some water in it. Finish: medium with mostly cinnamon spice coming through. Lingers on the back of my throat and lips.

Tried a pour of this at a whiskey bar, which ended up running $44 for 2 ounces. I'm a big fan of high proof whiskey (Stagg Jr batch 12 is one of my favorites of 2019), but this one drank a little too hot for me, lacked much complexity and seemed a little flat, considering the price.

Hints of fruit, vanilla and honey with a very short finish. Decent "staple" scotch at the $25 I paid, but not overly complex or memorable.

Some heat with hints of caramel, honey and cherry on the palate. Lingering finish that stays with you. Very good if you enjoy barrel proof bourbons. This batch (batch 10) is just a notch below Batch 12 in my opinion.

Grassy/earthiness on the nose. Vanilla and spiciness on the palate, with some of the grass/earthy notes slightly coming through on the palate. Spicy lingering finish.

Rich and spicy rye. Long finish that leaves hints of chocolate, mint and spice. Very good and well worth ~$50.

Starts good but gets better the more you sip. Smooth vanilla and cocoa notes but with some spice. Very good overall.

Enjoyed this one - nice fruity nose and very easy to sip neat.

Smooth but with more heat than would be expected for the proof.

Interesting bourbon but not my favorite for the price
