1 cube. Sweet, vanilla nose with a bit of heat. Extremely smooth with no bite and a slight sweet finish encompassing the subtle cognac notes. Beautiful done.

1 cube of ice. Nose of earth and spice that is very powerful and forward. Starts slow but develops with hints of spice with a very slight medicinal hint. Surprisingly complex bourbon out of Illinois and a welcome addition to the bourbon world.

(2018 Edition) Smells complex yet refined for a Texas bourbon expected of the Garrison Brothers price tag. One ice cube. Initial heat on the first sip mellows with time. Becomes surprising smooth with a medium, subtle finish. Very well done but missing depth to round it out.
