Tastes

1 cube. Nose of bananas, caramel, and pond cake. Slowly developing palate that with tastes of Crème brûlée, burnt vanilla and caramel. Heat slowly increases to throughout the finish but leaves behind a pleasant hint of sweetness.

1 cube. Nose of citrus mixed with a faint black cherry note. Palate has vanilla with hints of oak, citrus, and caramel. The cherry doesn’t come through. Velvety mouthfeel. Finish is long and changes over time, and crescendos with oak and peanuts. Slight burn at the end but pleasant. Incredible, easy sippin’ bourbon for this price range.

1 cube. Nose vanilla with a very slight hint of mint or citrus possibly due to the higher rye percentage in the mash bill. Palate with caramel and vanilla with slight sweetness. Little to no heat. Mouthwatering finish with residual spice. Very well rounded bourbon that is easy to sip.

1 cube. Sweet nose with hints of vanilla. Palate with caramel, vanilla and a hint of cherry reminiscent of Bakers 7 year. A little heat at the end but a pleasant, long lasting finish.

1 cube. Super sweet nose. Molasses and brown sugar. Sweetness flows into the palate with a similar profile as the nose. Rum cask adds a unique sweetness but doesn’t overpower the bourbon. Still some heat despite the sweetness in the lingering finish.

1 cube. Nose is sweet and you guessed it, oaky. It jumps from the glass. As if you are smelling the barrel itself. The palate follows suite with an oaky, vanilla charm with slight hints of coffee bean and leather. Very mellow without more than a hint of heat. I can see why this is pleasing to the masses but leaves you wanting slightly more.

2 cubes. Stringent nose with hints of rye and bold spice. Hot from the get go that mellows on the palate with more rye and subtle oak. Long finish with touches of caramel the rounds it out.

1 cube. Nose of clove and citrus, predominantly orange peel. Powerful start with a palate mimicking the nose with slight anise that makes it perfect for a Sazerac cocktail. Slight sweetness to the finish with a slight burn.

1 cube. Nose is sweet with hints of honey and vanilla. Very subtle palate with vanilla, caramel, and a vague hint of mint. No heat whatsoever but also not a lasting finish. Very easy to drink but leaves you with nothing to remember...

1 cube. Nose of spearmint, vanilla, and eucalyptus. Subtle palate that develops into slight heat with hints of sweet vanilla bean and spice. Not a lasting finish but not off putting either. Very unique flavor profile.
