Tastes

Nose: red apples, fruit cake, jolly rancher, very sweet and pleasant Pallet: apple, caramel, maple, orange, baking spice Unique whiskey. Fruity nose thats really pleasant. Can’t think of other whiskey that gives you apple, orange and maple in one sitting. Would’ve loved to see this 10 proof points higher to see how much more it could pull out the flavors. Only knock, for me, is that the finish length varies frequently for some reason BUT it’s getting longer as this whiskey opens up. Great pour!

Nose: chocolate, dark cherry, grape, cherry Dr Pepper, coffee cake Pallet: spice, grape, cola, cherry, light pepper, hot tomale candy, long finish on tongue Great nose that translates well to pallet. Grape and dark fruit really shines. It’s very balanced. Hot but not overwhelming. Lingers on the tongue for an extended finish. Can’t find much wrong with it.

Nose: orange, caramel, spicey, butterscotch Pallet: orange, viscous, light oak, nutty towards finish For $25-$30, this is a great everyday sipper. It’d also make a great mixer. Definitely has those Jim Beam vibes to it. Really enjoy the orange at the start and nutty taste at the end. Recommend for a higher proof, entry level, product for beginners.

Nose: oak, smoke, chocolate, cherry, char, smores Pallet: dark fruit, leather, oakey, tobacco, root beer Very pleasant. Combo of sweet and drying. Tastes like Woodford Double Oak on steroids. Nose might be a little better than the palet but has a great mouth feel - especially mid pallet. Price isnt bad given the proof and flavor.

Nose: spice, pepper, hint of raspberry or orange (bright fruit), caramel/vanilla Pallet: lite, spice carries over, burnt carmel, toasted, orange Nose transfers to the pallet well. Its not a thick or heavy whiskey - its very lite. You can get some type of bright fruit although its hard to identify exactly what it is. Little spice but good mouth feel. For $50, its a geat deal for a single barrel and higher proof.

Nose: musty, green apple, char/toast, think of outside rain smell Pallet: very mineral - reminds me of Dickel, rye, pepper, herbal Its just okay. Would prefer the standard release for half the peice. Not a fan of that mineral taste. The green apple is the best part of this whiskey. Give me the Sagamore Cask Strength for $55 instead.

Nose: dark red fruit, fig, rich, rollo candy Pallet: very long finish, lingers on tongue, dark fruit carries over, dark caramel, light char One of the best whiskeys of the year! Very fruit forward and rich. The finish stays for an extended time and there is no harshness. The longer this bottle is open, the better it gets.

Nose: cherry, dark fruits, caramel, vanilla Pallet: cherry, raspberies, char, creamy Great value for the cost. Nose and pallet are both great. It has the cherry/berry Buffalo Trace nose and pallet. Good substitute for the Weller 107 with the cherry. Highly recommend.

Nose: french oak, caramel, honey, pleasant Pallet: caramel, creamy, buttery, easy sipper Good intro into whiskey. Very smooth. Low proof. Soft nose thats not overwhelming. Difficult to pull out flavors on the pallet. It’s not that complex. Decently priced but wouldnt pay more than $45 for this - a lot better whiskey for $50.

Nose: banana laffy taffy, oakey, vanilla pudding Pallet: more oak, char, vanilla cola It’s good for a $45 bottle. Prefer the Barrel Proof for $10-$15 more. Nose is way better than pallet. Pallet just isn’t that complex and you have to search for flavors. Banana laffy taffy nose is great.
