Colonel E.H. Taylor, Jr. Straight Rye
Rye — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed September 14, 2024 (edited October 5, 2024)Nose: green apple, fruity, pepper Pallet: carmel apple, cinnamon spice, long finish Funky rye. Rye spice comes through on the finish but the smell of green apple transfers from the nose to front pallet. Finish hangs around for a while for a 100 proofer. Its unique and a great pour but not sure if its worth paying secondary for. Sagamore and JD BP Rye are much better value.170.0 USD per Bottle -

Nose: peanut butter, oakey Pallet: nuttey, vanilla, caramel Really good for the cost of this whiskey - value is great. It’s more complex than some other entry level whiskeys - good transitions between nose to pallet. Comparable to Evan Williams 1873 and some entry Knob Creek products.30.0 USD per Bottle
