Glenfiddich 15 Year Solera Reserve
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed February 8, 2021 (edited April 3, 2021)It's not bad at all. For some reason I prefer the simpler Glenfiddich 12 and it's 30$ less the bottle. It's an interesting whiskey but there is a weird taste in it that I don't particularly like. I won't buy this one again. -
Glenmorangie Lasanta Sherry Cask Finish 12 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed January 16, 2021Sweet and floral. Really good whiskey. A bit too sweet for my taste. I prefer Quinta Glenmorangie than this one. Still an amazing bottle. -
Macallan 12 Year Sherry Oak Cask
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed January 16, 2021 (edited February 20, 2021)Really good. A bit on the sweet side but not too much. Complex taste. It's good! Seems like a good whiskey for friends when they come over. Will definitely buy it again! -
This is very different. The first taste is very mellow and then the after taste is a bit bitter(?) spicy and fruity. Hard to describe. Like there is a bit of rhum or even Sake in it? It's a mystery taste. I feel like I'm gonna ask myself all night what is the exact taste that it reminds me of. It's not smoky at all (which is good for me). I think Whiskey purist will hate it. It's definitely not my favorite but I really like it. I will buy it again.
