George Remus Straight Bourbon Whiskey
Bourbon — Indiana, USA
Reviewed June 6, 2020 (edited September 5, 2020)Spicy and sweet smell. Initial taste is sweet honey and corn, and then a lot of rye spice. But the great oily body of this keeps the spices from burning and highlight a mix of flavors. Finish is fantastic with a medium mint and menthol finish that I love. For the price a fantastic value! Adding to the rotation. -
Russell's Reserve 10 Year Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed May 21, 2020 (edited June 7, 2020)Aroma is sweet and so is upfront flavors but good depth and enough heat to keep you interested. Carmel, vanilla, and corn sweetness mixed with maple, then a buttery sweet comes in. Finishes with a hint of licorice and spice. Better neat or 1 cube. Really good especially for an easy one to find. -
Ezra Brooks 90 Proof Kentucky Straight Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed May 16, 2020 (edited December 14, 2020)What am I missing on this one? I can’t get past the rough heat. Comes quick and stays. Starts to develop some flavor but quickly is all heat (not due to proof). For the price it’s not horrible, but I’d spend a few bucks and get Evan Williams black label. -
David Nicholson Reserve Bourbon

Reviewed March 4, 2020 (edited April 4, 2020)Sweet upfront then good spice. Long spicy finish with a warming linger. Opens up with ice. Very good. Spice similar to McKenna but a little less refined. Would buy again.39.0 USD per Bottle -
Booker's Bourbon Batch 2019-04 "Beaten Biscuits"
Bourbon — Kentucky , USA
Reviewed January 19, 2020 (edited February 29, 2020)A sweetness stays of caramel, vanilla, honey, and creme brûlée, with a richness and spice that keeps it full. Almost a nutty and salty hint at the finish. Full bodied and rich. Very good. My favorite batch in a while. Surprisingly smooth for the proof.
