Tastes

Gets an extra star for its history. But I don't even think its a great mixer. Nose: Vanilla and alcohol. Taste: Alcohol Finish: Rubbing Alcohol and coughdrop cherry

N: Camel and brown sugar P: oak, carmel, brown sugar F: spicy burn followed by oak Decent. This is my first rum that doesn't use molases so I dont have a comparison.

N: carmel an brown sugar P: Sweet, smooth, toffee, molasses, vanilla F: slight burn and molasses Tried a few dark rums lately and this one stands out. Really enjoyable neat.

N: Butterscotch and cherries P: Oak, cocoa, bitterness F: Long, Sweet, dry, bitterness Interesting rum. Its sweet but also has a dry bitterness throughout I cant quite describe.

N: Pleasant sweet smell with vanilla and a hint of funk. P: Funk, citrus with surprising amount of pepper spice. F: Short finsh with burn and not much flavor. Interesting flavors but not for me. Had to come back and edit this. Not for me neat, and for some drinks its overpowering, but in some mixed drinks its gold.
