Fruity and creamy, my favourite combination. Quite luxurious and tasty.

Fruity and creamy with a bit of spice. Delicious.

Nothing great, but perfectly adequate for drinking on the rocks. Had my first taste of it on a BA flight from Toronto to Heathrow.

Too harsh without much payoff in flavour. After half a 375 ml bottle I threw in the towel and relegated the rest of it to the pantry for use when cooking. Might be more worthwhile as a mixer, but I never tried it with anything but an ice cube.

While technically a lower tier whisky than Gibson's 12 Year Old, I prefer the Sterling. I think it's because much like the 18 Year Old, the Sterling is a bit fruity, which I very much like in a whisky.

If the original Crown Royale is a perfect starter whisky (it is) then this is a perfect "leveling up" whisky for when you're ready to try something a little more robust. Like its grandaddy, Northern Harvest is quite smooth, but with some attitude and swagger.
