Extremely well balanced, with a warm oak profile that doesn’t overwhelm. Soft on the palate with an aroma that beckons you to sip and enjoy. Pretty much a perfect bourbon.

I think this is the best bourbon I have ever tasted. There are layers of delicious flavors and aromas expressing themselves as I work through this dram. Not overly oaked. No age funk. It belies the 114 proof with minimal heat and ethanol. Simply delicious.

I have tried the 2024 release from two different barrels. One barrel was at a restaurant and I would give it a 4.5. I then bought a bottle at the liquor store and I would give that one a 4.1 or 4.25. My bottle was not quite as rich and decadent. Both bottles had a “just right“ amount of Oak. My bottle is a bit drier than the restaurant pour. Neither bottle had the typical Beam peanut character that can sometimes be too much. For me that is a big positive. Overall, this is a wonderful sipping bourbon with no negative characteristics. *** Highly recommend ***

The flavors in this bottle were just not that great for me. For a 10 year, I expect more going on and fewer oddball flavors. For the price, there are so many better options if you want an aged whiskey.

My first pours were the best. It had a nice flavor profile that I enjoyed. Nothing jumping out, but nice bourbon flavor profile easy to drink. Now, a month or so later, I am getting a tinge of kerosene/gasoline in the flavor. It's not too prominent and I can ignore it, but IMO this flavor should not be there.

The aroma and flavor profile of W.B. Saffell reminds me a lot of Kentucky Owl Confiscated bourbon. Very similar. I give it 3.75 because it is pretty good, but not something I tend to want first. I reach for this bottle to add a little variety to my pours.

This is a well balanced, nicely aged bourbon. There are no weird or unusual flavors, just straight bourbon goodness with no heat but solid flavor. This is a good buy.

Shoulder pour had light flavored notes of EH Taylor and Blantons - light cinnamon. Later pours don't seem to have it. Later pours have a bit of the 1792 flavor profile in them. It is an easy drinker, there is nothing off putting in this. It is not that interesting, either, to be honest - there's not much flavor to taste. I don't regret the purchase, but it won't be too high on my list of whiskeys to buy again.

A warm, mellow, easy sipper. Vanilla and caramel on the nose, plus oak in the flavor. Medium short finish. Delicious! If you can get this at retail, it’s probably the best value for bourbon on the market.

I can’t believe I am drinking the same whiskey as Stephanie the reviewer. I get lots of cinnamon throughout. I find one dram is just right at a time. Has a similar taste profile as EH Taylor Small Batch, but more cinnamon and not quite as refined. T
