Overall, a good tasting bourbon. Unfotrunetly, does not really feel worth the price. It feels like the characheristics of their standard bourbon are sort of mellowed with age. I personally like the high rye spice of the standard Bulleit, particularly at its price point, and it feels like that is dimished significantly with this offering.53.0 USD per Bottle

The nose is fairly neutral, not too much jumps out other than caramel. The palet is very straightforward with caramel rightbup front followed by rye spice and new oak flavor. I picked up something like candied fruit as well. The finish is very similar to the palet with rye and new oak, the candied fruit transitions almost to a raisin flavor. The price is quite high for this for what it brings. A good tasting rye that is a good entry level complexity, worth more in the $40-$50 than $70-$80, though i did buy from the distillery itself so might be somewhat inflated.72.0 USD per BottleGrand Traverse Distillery Tasting Room

Laphroaig 10 Year
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed December 21, 2024 (edited December 22, 2024)The nose is full of smoke, like sitting down wind of a campfire (in a pleasent way). The smoke gives way to a slight tangy bitterness on the tongue with a hint of baked brown sugar. The finish, very long, continues the theme and adds a bit of nuttiness (walnut?).84.99 USD per Bottle -
Grace O'Malley Bourbon Cask 19 year Whiskey
Single Malt — Ireland, Ireland
Reviewed December 18, 2024This whiskey had a tremendous amount of complexity with. Each flavor note feels very segmented and separate from the previous from nose to finish. The nose has deep sweet stone fruit flavors with chocolate and a bit of nuttiness. The palet is very woody with flavors of oregano and charred oak alongside more nuttiness and stone fruit sweetness. The finish is a pleasent blend of pepper and spearmint with some bitter liqorice aftertones.79.99 USD per Bottle
