Westland American Age: 3 years Proof: 92 Natural Color Non- chill filtered Nose: straight oak tannins. Slight hints of caramel & vanilla Palate: Rich. Peppery. Vanilla and caramel Mouthfeel: moderate Finish: bright, more pepper with lots of vanilla chasing the pepper. Score: A- I can see this being worth the $70 price.

Light sea salt, cinnamon & peat on the nose. Vanilla cream icing, oily pallet Moderate peppery finish.

Thick nose of tar and peat. Sweet smoke that subsides as you enjoy the flavors followed light hints of sherry on the palate. Okay bonfire smoke on the finish.

Burt caramel and brown sugar on the nose. Very rich. Smoke chocolate and caramel on the thick oily pallet. Moderate length dry oak finish. Gets better after the first couple of sips. Probably wouldn’t buy a bottle but would probably order it at a bar.

Smoke and fresh cooked bacon on the nose. Savory meat, sea salt and brine on the palate. Sweet berry and extinguished campfire on the finish.

Sherry & slight smoke on the nose. Light mouthfeel Vine fruit, light hints of smoke and baking spices on the palate. Medium finish of sherry and baking spices.

Nose: Vanilla, Baking Spic and a slight hint of caramel Palate: Traditional bourbon. Vanilla and caramel. Hot for the proof. Mouthfeel: light to moderate Cost: About $50 Score: B+. Has that traditional bourbon flavors and a high proof. Highly Recommend

With a couple of drops of water I get cherry followed by vanilla and a touch of oak.
