TINCUP American Whiskey
Other Whiskey — Indiana (bottled in Colorado), USA
Reviewed November 1, 2018 (edited January 31, 2020)This is my 2nd time with Tincup and it’s made it into my rotation. Yes it’s a sourced & blended bourbon. Yes it’s a cool bottle. Yes you get an actual tin cup. Yes you get what you pay for. Well what you get is a very respectable bourbon inside that bottle that hits all the right notes. The Distiller tasting profile is pretty spot on.26.0 USD per Bottle -
Jim Beam Distiller's Cut
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed October 14, 2018 (edited December 31, 2018)This is a decent bourbon from Jim Beam, a pleasant upgrade from the white & black labels. Still a bit of ethanol on the nose, body is classic bourbon but fuller staying on the tongue, finish is moderately warm. I still think this is a great value bourbon and one of the better ones with the Beam label.23.0 USD per Bottle -
Henry McKenna 10 Year Bottled in Bond Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed October 9, 2018 (edited August 9, 2019)Henry McKenna, you’re so hard to find but so worth the search. This B/B is straight forward and honest, it doesn’t pretend to be something it’s not. This bourbon is strong but smooth, full & rich and doesn’t hide it’s rye upbringing. You get all the classic bourbon notes you expect, and it lingers pleasantly reminding you why you came here in the 1st place. This is 4.5⭐️ all day long.35.0 USD per Bottle -
Evan Williams Single Barrel Vintage
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed September 8, 2018 (edited September 7, 2019)This is truly an outstanding bourbon, interesting and complex but very easy to drink. For me this Evan Williams runs the gamut, from nose, palette to finish, the tasting notes remain steadfast throughout. Full bodied and not too sweet, maple and caramel, peanut and yes when searching you can pick up tropical fruit with a bit of baking spice added to the finish. You’re hard pressed to find a better bourbon at this price point.30.0 USD per Bottle -
2nd time for this one reminds me of a very pleasant person who’s quite amiable, agreeable and easy to get along with, but has nothing really interesting to say and provides no input to the conversation, they’re just along for the ride. What I’m saying is this bourbon is easy to drink and it’s enjoyable, but there are others that are much more memorable at this price point.24.0 USD per Bottle

TINCUP American Whiskey
Other Whiskey — Indiana (bottled in Colorado), USA
Reviewed August 20, 2018 (edited October 7, 2018)Ok so this is a sourced bourbon with a bit of a hokey marketing gimmick, it’s still a pretty good bourbon. The high rye mash is noticeable on the palate but not so much on the nose. Brown sugar & baking spice fill the body, it’s relatively sweet to me for this type of bourbon. The finish is good while it lasts, warm without the pepper burn. All in all I was pleasantly surprised by this one, it might be time to put away those preconceived notions about sourced whiskey 👍30.0 USD per Bottle
