Tastes

Picked up on a trip through Kentucky late 2020.

Apple and a bit of cereal on the nose. Taste reveals lots of apple with a bit of sweetness in the tip of the tongue. Smooth finish with hints of oak, toffee and more apple. Overall this play well above its ~$20 USD price point

Nose: peat, vanilla, caramel, hints of lightly smoking oak embers Taste: sea salt caramel, very very nice Finish: more of the sea salt, hint of smoked salmon Overall: a very very nice dram. Reallyenjoyed the up front sea salt caramel on tasting. Nose moves from peat to sugary oak. Definitely worth a bottle

Nose: Pear, wiffs of peaty smoke, sea salt, slight vanilla and caramel, bit of citrus Palate: sweet, briny, more hints of peatiness, more of the pear, malt Finish: cherry and smoke

Nose - Caramel, toffee, candied fruit, apple, clove Palate- sweet followed by an oak bomb then a whole lot of spice Finish - smooth and sweet, more caramel Overall- for $30 USD per bottle, Eagle Rare 10 year is playing well above its price!

Nose brings notes of apple pie, pear, honey and a touch of vanilla. Very nice fruit notes. Taste reminds me of toast with tart cherries and slight oak char. Finishes very smooth with more fruit and a bit of pepper. A very nice dram for the ‘Black Friday’ cost.

Vanilla and caramel on the nose, wonderful honey finish

Nose of smoke and salt gives way to caramel and apple. Damp rainforest. Tasting gives a blast of smoke to the face along with more of the sea salt. Finishes with caramel, raisins, fresh turned earth and of course, more smoke. Delicious.

Apples honey and vanilla on the nose. Tasting brings more of the sweet and vanilla. No smoke whatsoever.
